Do you ever find yourself scrolling through your camera roll endlessly trying to find a nice photo of you two? As you keep searching, you realize that you only have selfies and maybe a nice picture from a wedding you attended 3 years ago? If so, it’s time for a love story photoshoot!
This of it this way — a romantic photoshoot for just the two of you is a date night. Only before you go to a nice restaurant, you walk around your favourite neighbourhood in the city feeling like a celebrity. A friendly photographer (that’s us!) casually follows you, captures your love, quirks and personalities while you’re enjoying each other’s company. After an hour or so, you go on to spend the rest of your magnificent evening together. In a few weeks, you get professionally edited and retouched photos that showcase just how happy you were in those fleeting moments.
From now on you won’t need to worry about what to post on Valentine’s Day, your anniversary and your birthdays.
The best location is different for every couple. Some love climbing mountains, some enjoy quiet nights in with takeout & Netflix, others live for dressing up and going out. Before you settle on a location, think of your relationship and mutual hobbies. This will really help!
From there, you’ll know which option is best just for the two of you. Here are some universal locations in the city.
Any spot by the lake is beautiful. Add some sunset light and a couple in love and you’ve got yourself a picture-perfect. Harbourfront is best during warmer months. However, it’s also great in the winter, especially on the Natrel rink overlooking the lake!
This one’s for nature lovers. While Scarborough Bluffs might be hard to get to, they’re so worth it. The view from the top is stunning, but we actually recommend the beach at the bottom of the bluffs. That way you’re feeling safer, there are fewer people around you and you can focus on just being yourselves.
Pro tip: come during colder months to avoid large crowds.
This unique place in Toronto is perfectly romantic and cozy. Sit down with a cup of coffee and just chat while we capture your love. The European vibe of this place is so alluring, and the variety of top-notch cafes and restaurants makes it an ideal place for a date.
Bonus: This location is great for any season!
Please note: Distillery District requires a permit for photoshoots. Photoshoot prices do not cover the permit.
This is one of the best locations to view the Toronto skyline, especially during (you guessed it) sunset. It’s also a wonderful picnic spot. The Riverdale park area is pretty large, so you can enjoy some privacy and tranquillity. Make sure to pack some fresh fruits and other delicatessens to enjoy!
While the park is beautiful in any season, it’s best during warmer months if you’re dreaming of a cute picnic.
The University of Toronto is known for its stunning architecture that resembles Europe so much. Bonus point if one you went or goes there!
The best spots on campus are Know College and Trinity College. Feel like a real royalty if you choose to dress up.
Literally any trail or conservation area makes for a wonderful secluded and private location. You really don’t need much to get beautiful pictures (as long as you’re working with the right photographer 😉 ). If you have a trail you often go to when walking your dog, jogging or just exploring the city, we’d love to take your photos there. Chances are, if you’ve been there before, you know of nice little nooks and will feel more relaxed there. And that’s the real goal!
Don’t underestimate your own place! Home photoshoots are a very special kind of photography that often results in the most intimate and gorgeous photos ever. You’ll 100% feel more relaxed at home, where everything is familiar, nothing is in the way and no one is looking at you (except for us of course!). If your home is your safe place, if you’ve spent days making it look like you, then look no further!
Bonus: you can change outfits easier, you don’t need to travel and you’ll be forced to clean up (which is always a good thing!)
If you’re ready to make some memories and let us capture them, book a romantic love story shoot now. Let’s capture your love!
